Reed has found first-team opportunities at Moss Rose limited this term and has also spent a spell on loan at Grays Athletic.
He will remain at Weymouth until May but has a clause allowing for a recall to the Silkmen within 24 hours.
Meanwhile, striker Kris Dennis has returned to Macclesfield after a successful loan spell at Woodley Sports.
