The Silkmen have not yet played in 2010 after recent matches against Morecambe, Notts County and Bury fell victim to the big freeze.

The postponements were all the more frustrating as Alexander's side had collected seven points in their last three games and scored nine goals.

Alexander said: "It will certainly be interesting to see what happens as the action resumes.

"In many ways it will be like the season starting again.

"We were playing extremely well prior to the big freeze and there's no reason why that shouldn't continue when we finally get playing again."
