Macclesfield will play Northampton Town away on the opening day of the new season.

The Silkmen will travel to take on The Cobblers at Sixfields Stadium when the new Football League Two season gets underway on the weekend of 8th /9th August.

The first home league game of the season will be against Notts County on Saturday, 15th August.

Boxing Day will see the Silkmen travel to play Shrewsbury at the New Meadow whilst the final match of the season will be away at Lincoln City on Saturday, 8th May 2010.
